... from the Hidden Gem RV Park is the heart of downtown Franklin, NC, or as we call it, Town Hill. There you'll find many great eateries, coffee shops, a brewery, sweets and more!

You can also get out and explore the Town of Franklin and discover many other great eateries including BBQ at Fat Buddies or the Haywood Smokehouse.

Main Street Eateries

Town Hill is home to several excellent eateries including: JR Chophouse featuring mouthwatering steaks, Gracious Plates on Main with a great variety menu, Las Margaritas with full Mexican fare, plus you can grab a quick breakfast or lunch at Brooklyn Bagels. You'll also find coffee shops including Crabtree General Store and you can satisfy your sweet tooth at Just Donuts.

East Palmer Street Area

The Sunset Restaurant is celebrating 80 years in business this year. Since opening they've served up great homestyle cooking. Locals love to stop by on Tuesdays and Fridays for Turkey & Dressing or anytime for a slice of homemade pie!

Most Unusual Location

Caffe REL has been featured on numerous cable networks for its unusual location and a French Bistro style menu. Attached to the Hot Spot convenience store and gas station, the restaurant was founded by Chef Richard Long. He has since retired and the new owners are still serving up an incredible menu that keeps folks from alll over coming back for more.

International Fare

El Charro Mexican Grill was recently voted Macon County's Best Mexican Restaurant by the readers of local newspaper, The Franklin Press. Their menu has something for everyone and service is always great. Just down the street there is great Chinese to go at Fortune House, Italian at Lucio's Restaurtant, and Thai at Boone Thai!

Breweries

Downtown Franklin, NC is home to two breweries. The Lazy Hiker Brewing Company is located well within walking distance of Hidden Gem RV Park. In East Franklin you'll find the Currahee Brewing Company with a unique selection of craft beer. Both breweries offer special live music nights throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall.

Wine

The Slanted Window Winery has repurposed an old gas station for their Tasting Station. It is a great place to drop by for tastings of their wines along with beer and bourbon. Enjoy their variety of delicious sandwiches, charcuterie boards and flatbreads.They also have live music on the weekends!

Pubs

The Rathskeller Coffee Haus & Pub is in a classification all it's own. It is a favorite gathering place of locals offering a full espresso bar, craft beer, spirits, wine, tasty eats, & good vibes!
